Managers are individuals appointed to manage the affairs of a football team. There have been many great managers around the world managing different team, helping them to win trophies and making sure the team is moving forward. 2020 have been year to forget by many football lovers, owners of football teams and many more due to the Corona virus pandemic. The pandemic caused a lot of havoc for football club owners making them lose a lot financially but despite that football still continues after about five months of suspension. Now let’s take a look at the top five managers for the year 2020:

1. Hansi Flick (Bayern Munich)Bayern Munich is a team known for their attacking prowess both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League due to the effect of their manager, Hansi Flick. He was appointed as the coach of Bayern Munich after the departure of Niko Kovac in November 2019. He won a treble for the team in 10 months; the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal. He has won series of individual award as a result of his brilliance.

2. Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool)Jurgen Klopp unarguably one of the best in the world was appointed as the manager of Liverpool in the summer of 2015. During the course of the year 2020, he guided Liverpool to their first Premier League trophy in 30 years. The Reds won the premier league with 99 points as a result of Jurgen Klopp’s brilliance. He also led Liverpool to their first ever FIFA Club World Cup trophy.


3. Julen Lopetegui (Sevilla) Julen Lopetegui was appointed as manager for Sevilla in the summer of 2019 and he has not failed to deliver for the Spanish side. Sevilla finished fourth in the 2019/2020 La Liga season and also won the 2019/2020 UEFA Europa League after a dramatic 3-2 win over Inter Milan in the final of the competition all thanks to Lopetegui’s good tactics.

4. Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds United)Marcelo Bielsa had led Leeds United to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years. Many managers have tried their best to bring Leeds back to the Premier League. The Argentine brought Leeds United to top flight in good fashion as the Whites bagged the Championship title. Although, their results ever since they returned to the premier league have not been convincing enough but we cannot overlook the fact that Marcelo Bielsa is a good manager.

5. Stefano Piolo (A.C Milan)Stefano Piolo was appointed as the Manager of A.C Milan in October 2019 after Marco Giampaolo’s departure. Many fans were unhappy about his appointment while some were excited about it. He has proved his doubters wrong by moving the team forward in the year 2020. In the current 2020/2021 Serie A season, A.C Milan sit at the top of the table, they have not lost any match in 14 games thereby competing long term winners of the Serie A, Juventus.
