NO CHURCH SHOULD HOLD CROSS OVER SERVICE- ONDO GOVERNNENT

Following the latest increment in the positive cases to coronavirus, the Ondo state government has cancelled crossover service in churches across the state heading into new Year. The Ondo state interministrial committee on Coronavirus and the Vice-Chancellor of the university of medical sciences, Ondo Prof. Adesegun Fatusi made it known in Akure that the Federal Government has stated that all schools across Nigeria should be closed till January 18th 2020, he also explained that the pandemic issue should be closely watched and that all precautionary measures should be taken against the spread of Covid-19.
According to him as regards religious services, he explained that there is a nation-wide curfew in place and the state is to abide by the principles of the curfew and therefore made it known that Churches and mosques are not permitted to hold service beyond 10:00pm in line with the curfew.
This in turn means night Vigils are strictly forbidden until further notice. He urged the people to adhere to the safety measures put in place for the prevention of Covid-19.
