Manchester United defeated Aston Villa on new year day to start the year in grand style. Manchester United won the match 2-1 with goals from Anthony Martial, Bertrand Traore and Bruno Fernandes. The red devils are now on level point with defending champions, Liverpool.
Manchester United’s brilliance in the first 15 minutes
Manchester United started the game well busting the game in all departments. They created a lot of chances in the early stages of the match and they had an opportunity to score the first goal when Anthony Martial had a shot on target which forced out a great save from Emiliano Martinez.
Balanced game in the later parts if the first half
After 15 minutes into the match, Aston Villa bounced into the game controlling the midfield and causing havoc for the Manchester United’s defense. John McJinn forced a save out of David De Gea when Cash whipped in a cross from the right and McJinn connected to the cross and won a corner for his team. But a goal from Anthony Martial late in the first half after somegood play from Pogba, Rashford and Wan Bissaka who provided the assist.
Eric Baily saves the day
Eric Baily made an exceptional block when Keinan Davis fired a shot in the penalty area from a Jack Grealish cross. The shot from Davis was the last chance for Aston Villa to get one point from the match but Baily’s brilliance denies a goal for the VIllians.
