Edo 2020: Obaseki might be in trouble as significant scores of PDP stalwarts join APC.

As it has been in the ancient times, politics is a game of deceit, power, loyalty, distrust and many other factors. Many people have tried to get into one post or the other and this brought the need to sketch out dubious plans termed as politics. It is often a game of power, display of importance and while all these are played by national leaders, citizens are often kept in the dark. Powerful positions are often taken all over the world through years of strategic planning and along the way deceit is usually involved.
Aside this, the role of Godfatherism can’t be ignored basically in Nigeria. In order to get to a particular high level post, honour must be given to the whom it’s due. Politicians do forget this fact and it usually end up drastically. A vivid example of this case is that of Governor Godswill Obaseki and his predecessor Comrade Adams Oshoimole. The cold war between the previous Governor of Edo State and successor is one that has drawn both local and foreign attentions. The inability of Godswill Obaseki to fall in line with his party Godfatherism rule was the birth of today’s calamity in their political order.
