Arsenal have bounced back from their woeful run of games after defeating Chelsea at the Emirates stadium. The Gunners were impressive in their 3-1 win over Chelsea in game week 15. Goals from Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka ensured that Arsenal got their first win in the premier league in over 2 months.
The Gunners were without their skipper, Aubameyang as he was in the bench throughout the match, so the captain armband was passed on to Hector Bellerin who played exceptionally well both defensively and offensively.
Mikel Arteta is under pressure from fans around the world and he is blamed for Arsenal’s woeful performance in recent weeks. But now, Arsenals fans around the world can heave a sigh of relief as the Gunners have gone back to winning ways by defeating their London rivals, Chelsea. Arsenall have now moved to 14th on the premier league table after being in the 15th position before the match. They can now go on to their next match with a good mentality having won their last match. The Gunners will play against a relegation threatened side, Brighton in game week 16 of the premier league away from home at the Amex stadium. The Gunners are expected to win the match so as to boost their chances of qualifying for either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League at the end of the season.
